Damn, this website. Everything you read there is either based on assumption they know what they're talking about or know the other side better than the other side knows themselves.

Asked about how to do something, they answer "why would you do that in the first place" and would go as far as saying "maybe first consult a doctor".

Sometimes they don't even bother and just downvote you assuming what you're trying to do is silly and should never be done.

And these 500 post long threads where maybe 0.1% is something useful and the rest is just mumbo jumbo of bored workforce slacking off.

That website is such a cancer.

i agree the community is mostly retarded. full of people you should do the opposite of what they say.
if you niche really really deep down you can find some good micro boards.
i'm waiting for the day a serious competitor comes out.

I once asked about good trading youtube channels.

Got an answer: "Sir, this is Wendy's" :D

I agree. I believe the moderators & admins of Reddit police their userbase far too often & have created a hive mindset for whatever agenda they believe in/push.

I also moved your thread to the Reddit subforum.

Every time I see a corny pun chain, I want to go on a violent spree. And don't get me started on the mods.

It has some weird policies and the answers might be really weird but a lot of people use it and is good to promote almost anything some times I see them like most of the poeple that is there move from yahoo answers and found reddit as their new home

Reddit is probably the worst place for running ads and the best place to spam the fuck out of everything. And by the way, it's filled with long-time losers, who don't like clicking on ads but they will go above and beyond to lure people into sending Nudes. I have heard some fucked up stories of Redditors.

Reddit has fantastic targeted traffic that converts well in certain niches.
But, it's tough, because one thing I've noticed is a lot of Mods are now paid off by industry. So a lot of the groups get turned into tilted astroturf sites for one brand.
