Hi

I have actually 3 stores that are working fine for 3 years with ads but I never did any SEO and I'm actually in the process to learn SEO since ads costs are bigger year after year.

I have some questions for people for are knowledgeable about SEO

1) In terms of Onpage optimization does Shopify is really good or i should switch to other cms like wordpress+woocommerce for example
2) With my low knowledge, I had the idea to create a blog related to my niche(different domain than shops) and add links to my store on these blogs. Is this a good idea or it would be better to do SEO on my shop directly on the article page and products and also add a Shopify blog that will contain all my articles related to the keyword I want to rank

Please add some articles on websites, this will be more helpful in SEO.

I recommend WordPress than Shopify for SEO purpose

Definitely WordPress causes control and is easy to customize also Rank Math and Schema Pro and other SEO plugins.
But don't forget to add posts to get the best of it.

I would recommend Wordpress then shopify all day! With Woocommerce You have more control with seo setting. Yoast seo is good and like the guy above mentioned “rank math” is good.
But personally my choice is yoast.

I prefer Rank Math.
In general, Rank Math has more features than Yoast SEO, especially when comparing the free versions though Yoast SEO is more popular.

Ok it seems Woocommerce is the winner in term of SEO . It won't take much time to switch my shopify store into woocommerce . Regarding WP+Woocommerce is there any recommended plugins for people like me who do dropshipping . Also what is the best theme actually if i want to focus on SEO?

While everyone above is suggesting Wordpress (and even I am a big fan of Wordpress too), for eCommerce sites I suggest you go for a managed platform like Shopify.

You already shared that you have limited knowledge of running websites then managed solution is the best for you. So Shopify is the best option. It has inbuilt SEO features that will help you too.

eCommerce sites has its own set of issues and hassles. It ranges from sites security, database management, products management, order management, customer support, seo and blog management and what not! A single owner with limited knowledge can easily get overwhelmed with all this and that can result in failing the business.

So it will be a best option to go for a Shopify so that all the website and order management headache will be taken care by them and you can stay relaxed and focus on sites SEO and business growth.

I am telling you this from my own experience. :)
