This is going to be an experiment that I am carrying out to see if ranking a site without making manual backlinks from my side is possible or not.
So, the domain I chose was bought in 2018 and at that time I made some comments and profile backlinks but the overall backlink profile is not that great. However, the domain has decent metrics to start with. DA/PA is 24/35.
The site was initially a woocommerce website and has gone through a lot of changes in the first 2 years but I never maintained it on a regular basis to the point that it got badly hacked 2 years ago. It was generating a few dollars every month but nothing great as I hardly worked on it.
So, this is a fresh start and all I am going to do is publish dozens of posts every month and let it rank naturally without manual backlinking. However, I am going to do the on-page SEO as it is still very important.
The niche is sports-related and I have already written a good amount of articles that are ready to be published and half of them I will get written by freelancers. Most of these articles are going to be short and will focus on low to medium-competitive keywords.
What is the current progress?
1. I have installed Wordpress and Rehub theme. Configured everything just right.
2. Installed a bunch of plugins including Yoast SEO, WPCode Lite, Shortcodes Ultimate, Redirection, Recent Posts Widget Extended, Litespeed Cache, and more plugins would be added as required.
3. Published 4 articles.
This time I don't want to leave it abandoned like before and I am going to update the progress every month to let you guys know about the latest achievements without any manual backlinks.
