[REQUEST] Safe Buying: Demand Better Buyer Protection from BHW Marketplace

Hi everyone,

We all know how convenient it is to buy any services on Marketplace here, but sometimes things don't go as planned and we end up getting scammed by sketchy sellers:

Those are two threads I read recently, that's why I'm (and I urge we're) calling on BHW marketplace (poke @BassTrackerBoats) to step up and offer better Buyer Protection.
Here's what I think they should do:

1. Make sure all sellers on BHW Marketplace platform are legit by verifying their identity or some strict requirements.
2. Offer a money-back guarantee if we don't get what we paid for, maybe by holding the payment until both parties are happy with the trade.
3. Make it easy for us to report any problems or issues with sellers, maybe by creating a "Dispute" button on every sales threads
4. Take our complaints seriously and work to resolve them as quickly as possible, always keeping our best interests in mind.

We all deserve to feel secure when we shop here, and these changes would go a long way towards making that happen. Let's make it happen!

Good luck trying to verify identity of sellers on platform like this. It is a nice suggestion but not suited for this platform.

Thanks for your suggestion - It's coming in MP2, in fact, has already been written.
The buyer can purchase escrow-style protection if the seller offers it. If the seller doesn't offer it and it's a requirement of the buyer then we will be able to offer similar sellers with this level of protection through the search functionality.
Customer feedback is built into the marketplace ensuring engagement between the 2 sides is always open and clear.
All feedback is taken seriously at the moment via the ShitList but we take this to the next level with MP2.
