Can a 301'd domain be penalised?

Hey, say I have a domain that I do black hat things on and then after I'm done ranking it I just move it to a new domain. Would this get my new domain penalised if an update were to roll in the future which would penalise the old domain?

301 redirects carry penalties since, give or take, 2015.

As far as I am aware, there are ways to avoid this, but that's beyond your or mine pay grade.

It's much more complicated.
So if I 301-redirect 10 penalised domains to the BBC website they will get penalised? NO.
But on the other hand... if I do the same to a smallish blog then it might happen.

Come to think of it, do a redirect from the black sites to the good sites and kick the competitor out of the rankings.

No, there are no penalties, as long as your site is penalized within six months (approximately). The point is that the punishment can only lower the site in the ranking and throw it out of consideration, but these penalties will apply only to a site that is ranked (namely, ranked, and not in consideration as a cache on the request site:xxx)

The only thing that may subsequently be with your site is leveling link weight, which goes through a redirect.

There is another nuance, if you move from black hat again to a site where you continue to do the same black hat - do not hesitate, you will be fined.

I recommend that depending on what you do, put a tape on the site that will show google only what we need, but it will not work for all methods.

Say I have non penalised site A, which I redirect to website B. Can the old domain be still penalised which will then be transferred to my domain?

I would say there's no real way of knowing as this is all hypothetical, and we have no way of knowing what future updates will entail. The best thing to do to prepare for any eventualities would be to scale whatever you're doing, don't just get left with 1 domain where you've gone all in.
