I don't think it will for a while. Especially not until it can stop hallucinating. It needs to be connected to the internet and have the latest news as well. There's also a long way to go to get it to sound more natural. Right now AI can replace cheap writers, but I think we're a long way from the good ones being replaced. Especially really good copywriters.

To replace human writers, all you need is a good set of prompts and a VA to do the research and proof read the output.

This is for generic stuff like blog posts, emails, landing pages etc.

Humans will always write better stories and will understand how to appeal to the reader better so I wouldn't want to read a book created by an AI but an informational blog post, sure.

There are certainly some tasks that AI can perform better than humans, but it is unlikely that AI will be able to completely replace human writers in the near future. While AI systems are able to generate texts that are ordered and well-written they are still not able to produce writing that is truly creative.
