Unfortunately, I'm not Jr. VIP so I couldn't post to such a section, but you do have a point. I'd kinda like to see where this thread goes though.
I've come across 2 plugins for wordpress:
"wp-statusnet" - Only supports posting to up to 5 StatusNet servers (I looked at the PHP code, it's editable)
"Twitter Tools - StatusNet" - Addon for Twitter Tools. Only supports posting to one or two StatusNet servers.
I don't see why your post couldn't wait 30 minutes to get added though. And plus with twitterfeed, you could use other platforms such as Drupal, Joomla, or even BlogSpot blogs.
EDIT: I think twittertools limits posting to every 30 minutes because they aren't really making any profit out of it and they need to budget their bandwidth.

I just had a pretty thought:
What if someone was to build a shitload of linkwheels and other backlinks to these identi.ca clones. I mean think about it, there's plenty of people here that would be able to do such a thing. Perhaps it would further increase the value of these links.
The domains are all aged pretty well. Just a matter of getting the not-so-popular sites popular. Imagine having 100 PR5 to PR7 backlinks to each post rather than ranging from PR0 to PR7.

just semi manually signed up for all the sites, there are around 46 working sites. the others are invite only, broken or gone. Still 46 back links aint bad every time you post!
Anyone know a way of getting all the urls from my tabs into a text file? - if so i will post all the working sites here to save you the trouble.

Go to feedburner and make an RSS feed. Then use the feedburner url.

Ok, i have put all the urls from my tabs into a html file. get a plugin for firefox called 'snap link plus'... it lets you right click and drag a box over all the links you want to open in tabs. Most of the links will take you right to the registration page i hope, not tested it!
I used another firefox plugin called auto fill forms, you can modify this prog to auto fill passwords too, you will also need to tell it how to fill in the Nickname field in... Do this by going to the plugin options, create a profile then go to 'main' and add a password field. Then modify the username field to have this in the 'Field rule' box.(?:username)|(?:Nickname)
Took me an hour to do this, hopefully i have made it a bit quicker for you! Hope i haven't over complicated it, i am crap at explaining stuff.

Actually, his dates didn't show up in his RSS feed. I told him to use the ATOM feed instead (http://whateversite.com/rss/atom). It shows the dates.
I believe twitterfeed takes the date & time each post was published, and uses that to check for any new posts published since the last one it has on record. No time & date stamp in your RSS feed means twitterfeed can't determine new posts from old ones.
@spaceinvader: 46, that's it? Eh, I wish I could rename the title of this thread.
Anyway, rep given.Everyone should drop a thanks to the thread above this one (spaceinvader), as he's probably cut the time it takes to do this in half.

..its more like 40 i think after checking my confirmation emails but once its set up its an easy and convenient little link builder for your blog, still very cool. plus identi.ca gets your post indexed in about 5 mins.EDIT: Just had an interesting idea, i am wondering if i can use scrapebox to harvest loads of these microblogging sites

just scraped 600 sites in 2 mins .. i smell potential... i would post the list but there is a fair amount of useless sites... i need to refine the search a little to try and filter the invite only and the broken ones etc, going to finish off setting up twitterfeed then i will get on it...
