So yesterday Google released a new update named as link spam update. With link spam update we can clearly see that Google is after websites with too many outgoing links. The image attached shows all of the things it will have in the update

Let me know what are your views on this Update?

Make sense. I think that SERPs now are more sensetive to Social signals then backlinks. sensetive in terms of more effective

Yes but I think it will take some time for Google to take down the websites.

If you are hit by the update you will recover from the update and gain focus to rank to the top position

As per the title off page will never be dead anymore

So according to google, many big brands will fail as many buy backlinks.
Sorry... not going to happen.

I am still regularly interested in the link. On and off the page

original and unique content website got hit
Google does not know itself what they are doing. Many updates in this year lets see what google come up with next.

can anyone tell me how to recover from that update..?? my da is reduced to 14 from 22 from the recent december update

It will take time till we understand exactly what kind of websites are affected plus we will also find ways to combat this.

Yup i was thinking the same but after the update my no of orders have been dropped.

I was wondering why my traffic went down so bad today. My popular pages don't even show up in the top 10 pages on google for the respective search terms. I don't have spam backlinks. I barely have any backlinks.

This will likely only affect you if you're buying your links for $5 from fiverr. Link buying will never die at this point, it's too integral to SEO as a whole. The update will only impact where you buy your links from.

How do you think Google will make the distinction between human writing and AI writing in the future ?
