Google EAT New Update

I think the best way to think about EEAT is to ask yourself, "Can my site pass the 'What do you do for a living?' test?".

If your site isn't good enough to impress a [member of the opposite sex|potential biz partner|long lost love-child] then you probably have a shit site.

Wasn't this already a part of the review update? Honestly, I don't understand the difference here.

Looks like Google is making updates without running them through a plagiarism checker.
Have you actually read the guide?

They're saying that now EAT is query specific and not simply site-specific.

A site like Quora or Reddit might pass EEAT for something, but not for something else.

Pay more attention to the content inside the website, right?

Wasn't this exactly what the review update was all about? Prove that you actually tried this product.

This isn't only about reviews...
'Reviews' was an example. If you make a how to, they want you to prove you actually did it yourself. It's the same standard they already enforce.

Sites like Healthline will dominate most semantic searches
Sill healthline and webmd cannot tell :
should i eat almond with or without peeling
They are overhyped.

And they discourage building backlinks

it's google. since when they follow their own guideline. lol
I think they like bluffing. Ban a few sites here and there, and everyone will panic saying it's because of the backlinks they bought. Everyone will follow the guidelines and less complex algorithms to detect shit from G's side. I think G learns most of the trends and loopholes through BHW and it takes them months to come up with something half-assed to stop the process for some time.
