Does 200 GB Bandwith enough for a wordpress blog? Just a news blog, expected average visits will be like ~10,000 monthly

Hello

Different types of websites have different storage needs. A simple blog will have different needs compared to a WooCommerce site selling various products. Blogs and personal sites typically consist of posts, photos and sometimes video files and generally don’t require much space.

Portfolio, agency, app, and business websites with dynamic content, including images, videos, audio, and scripts, might need more space.

My site would like just a news site, sharing news example from crypto and just have articles with photos.

Yes, as long as you optimize your blog normally. 10.000 visits should not be a problem at all. Don´t worry.

It always depends on the content.

if 1 user downloads 200gb of content then its 1 user only.
if you have only a 10kb homepage then its good.

Use cloudflare, they will cache your static resources(e.g. images) and deliver them from their CDN so your bandwidth will be left untouched.

Would the free one enough for this?

cloudflare it has a free plan on it just register on it and you have to change your DNS server you will have a good free traffic

many hosting providers now a days are offering unlimited bandwidth, why stressing on limited one? search marketplace for providers that offer unlimited bandwidth, Please keep that in mind most of the hosting providers are wordpress optimized.

As long as you don't serve file downloads but only news wp site as you said, it should be enough.

I bet you can upgrade if needed over time.

Easy way to calculate is this: use the Pingdom's Tool and test a few of the pages of your website. It'll give you the rough estimate about how many resources it's going to take per visitor.
Also use Cloudflare as suggested above in the posts. It'll save the bandwidth from large images, scrips and css files.

Compress images and use Cloudflare cache + wordpress fastcgi then everything is OK.

Unless you have heavy load videos hosted.

Shouldn't be any problem, you should be fine with 200GB BW + Cloud flare for 10k visits.
