Well i think you can create a general gaming niche amd divide it in subtopics like : reviews,cheats ,guides etc .But i think this niche its very competitive and its a better idea to open a yt channel or why not to make them both

I think Twitch can be a really nice niche for a brand new blog site. I have few websites under that niche and it really performs well. Getting quite a good amount of traffic from there. Im happy.

Making a sub-niche (micro) would be the best idea if you're starting out,
Invest in some keyword research tool like Semrush guru trial account,
Focus on a single game and build articles around it
