I feel like it's causing too many issues in a lot of industries... Especially college, since students are now using it to pass easily.

This makes me believe that there will be attempts to get it taken away from the public. What do you think?

Nope, why would it get taken down? It's not illegal to use it.

There is a pretty high possibility that advanced AI will not be open/accessible to the public for much longer. The reasons are multiple, one of them is that giving power to the people is not something Govs are known for, it can easily be branded as dangerous and banned or limited.

Fortunately it can't be stopped.

Open source is already too advanced and there's too many smart people who are working on open source projects.

It'll just be a bit behind the top private ones, maybe 1-2 years behind.

It can't be stopped and it's an open-source type project so, chances are pretty minuscule.

The chance of this getting taken down is like 0.0000001563% , it’s not happening, and I mean that, no a single chance it’s getting taken down, it’s not like chatGPT is the only AI that can produce answers , there are multiple of them, it’s not something that can really be limited,

No. There will be more and more similar services in the nearest future.

Nope it will just become paid service.
you do realize how much money time and resource spend on building that right? you think there is no one from gov investing on it?
also this is the on in public you think they don't have better version for the investor?

It is open source but there is a big talent discrepancy one AI will be managed by a team of 20-30+ top tier engineers and the other by a team of enthusiasts. It is true that killing it 100% is not possible for the simple reason that the tech can be recreated anyways. There's also the processing power as a limiting factor if companies are simply banned from selling AI based services (can be done, Walmart is banned from selling crack, stupid example) you will have to run your AI from consumer chipsets (i7-i9 etc etc) and be limited by your budget.

It will not get taken down however it cannot stay free forever, right now they are getting all the eyes on ChatGPT, I've seen countless Ads and news sites posting about it, a great marketing tactic.

I agree 100%. I cannot see this being free forever, so use it as much as you can while it is free.
