nope, i hope people that face this problem realize why crypto is good. DECENTRALIZATION.
honestly most crypto enthusiast will already see this coming not spesificly from ftx, it's possible for any cex.
basicly you put your money on other that have no rule or law binding it, what does they expect? even with law/rule people still find a way to steal..

decentralization, no trust needed, no need third party.
than people think i'ts great idea to centralize it put it on third party.

Thankfully I never trusted FTX to begin with, something about them always put me off signing up.

Very thankful in the end I did not, would have been horrendous losing all deposits and its entirely out of your control.

Better than ever. I've seen it coming 24h before hand and told all HNWI I knew they should remove their money from FTX and sell all their FTT and Alameda related projects.

I'm a crypto investment advisor in the field and even tho more than half didn't listen, they now are very interested in what I have to say.

Even if I didn't make money out of it, my reputation got a boost and saved millions from people money.

Have not wavered. FTX, BlockFi, etc collapse is good. Crypto will come out stronger. I'm still adding to my positions. Regulations are coming, and when they do, you will see even more adoption

How it affected me?

- I moved my crypto to DeFi wallets, cold storage back in the days when Binance started requiring KYC. Not affected from it at all.
- Affected emotionally because of people feeling bad, like you, or being disappointed from all of this causing a market crash and huge loss to big investors
- Affected emotionally because fraudsters get away with it, and still troll everyone on Social Media

I won't be surprised even if Binance fails one day, even USDT may fall one day, but that will definitely not be the end of crypto.

Yeah I've read something related to this how they had backdoor access for stuff that even employees can't see, to fake some numbers, etc. Sad.

It's not new in crypto. It all started from mtgox, btc-e, mintpal, and multiple other exchanges.
The question how can we get safe from these disasters? It's simple! Only keep the trading bags in exchanges and the major funds in hw wallets.

Not okay, but sometimes you've to take risks, even though I've not lost a penny in FTX's case.
As I'm active in crypto twitter, there was a guy who lost 95% of his portfolio which was around $495k in FTX.
