I "purchased" the Ledger Nano S a couple of days ago but my purchase got refunded. Then, I attempted to contact support with my order no. to see what happened and it was impossible to get a human, opened a ticket and after a few days another automated message said it got resolved, without any solution.

So, this is making me not want this product anymore if this is the support they offer. Anyhow, it looks to be the more competent one product-wise.

I need to store ADAs and it's kind of difficult for some reason to get a product that support those.

What are your experiences with this?

I have a nano s, but it’s not a must to be honest. If you follow the best practices, it should be enough. e.g.

1) Write your seed phrases on a piece of paper, and treat the paper as money (eg keep it somewhere safe like a bank locker).

2) Never ever take a photo of that paper not even for once.

3) Do not keep the seed on your machine. Just keep the app with your wallet imported, and if there is a way to encrypt your wallet with a password, always use that. Keeping the derived private key encrypted gives you an extra layer of security. Even if your computer was hacked, the hacker still has to decrypt your wallet.

If you follow these, I don’t think you will need a hardware wallet. If you must get a hardware wallet, get the nano s. I have used it for quite a while and I like it.

It would be better to engrave the seed phrase on a metal plate as in case of fire or water damage the paper will easily be destroyed.

Well if I had to store a few 100ks, this would be a cool diy project haha. :)

Software wallets like metamask and trust could be a great choice
