The PPC Network for Noobs

Hey guys, it seems im in the same boat, i put 50$ into revtwt and posted some $1 ZIP submits about a obtaining a free ipad, had over 150 clicks but not 1 single submit....

ive still got $25 left so ive paused my campaign and im gonna try and switch up my wording which from what i can gather is pretty essential...

im also going to try some ZIP submits as with the correct wording they have proved pretty good on some previous campaigns...

gupnup mind if i add you on msn? seems we are in the same boat and could help each other out...

ill try and post back with any updates

good luck guys

Thanks for all the support. I recently got approved for some email submti campaigns that are a little more unique than the " get a free XXX". Im going to run those and keep expirimenting until my $50 is gone :P

@
afcafcafc Go for it. My msn is posted up there. Although tbh Im rarely on MSN, and the best way to contact would probably be via PM here.

EDIT: Please do post updates here, im sure everyone would like that

Anyways, im going to run a few new campaigns and go do HW lol

Hey I'm following you and hope you luck turns around. I want to get started with the same method but I lack the $50 funds right now to gamble with. Keep us posted! :tee:

Also....

RADICAL COW! :cow_yello

Hey guys,

Quick update (well not really an update).

I've been pretty busy these past few days, getting things together and now working on a pretty big project. Its a pretty easy project but, Im new and still learning.
Therefore I wont be able to play around with revtwt for the next few days, possibly week. Once I get this project down, and hopefully working to bring me $50-150 a day, Ill start updating this and screw around till my remaining $37 are gone.

And Ill also start a facebook campaign :P

So sit tight!

OK Guys, 20 day later update.

I was bored yesterday so I decided to screw around with revtwt again, throw together a half ass add.

Anyways did an Email submit that pays 90 cents, got 2 submits for $1.80 total. But I need 17 clicks for that aka $1.70, so I only made 10 cents profit, oh well. Atleast I got my first conversion from revshit. I guess I could gotten a little more, but adscend media pays less for alot of stuff than other networks. But whatever, Ill just tweak it around and screw around until my moneys gone :p

Ok, Feb 28th/Mar1st Update:

Revised my add a little and here are stats:

Spent on clicks: $1.70
Revenue: $2.70

Profit: $1 :moony:

Also, screwed around with this other one, but got $2 in clicks and only one submit :(

Anyways, Im going to try to find a network with the same offer(s) that pay more, as adscend is known to pay a little less than competitors.

Off to school.

keep it going pal, i've been following your thread because im also doing ads in revtwt. So far just got my money back. 0 profit. i noticed that you have to test offers to identify which ones are converting and which ones are shaving.
I got better results commenting on youtube.

Thanks man. One thing I noticed is, keep your adds "unprofessional".
Before my adds were "Get a Free Macbook Air - Just submit your Email"

People wise up to that and can see the shit your pulling. All I can say is change it up a bit.

Also, anyone wondering, comeback from school got 3 more submits on my profitable campaign.

My profitable campaign looks like this:

$3.60 Spent on Clicks
$7.20 in Revenue

100% ROI, although my shitty ass campaigns I paused are still costing me money :p

If I can consistently pull off good ROI and stuff I might continue this...

Ok,

I was using Adscend, but ditched em, cause they dont pay quite enuff. I then used morning falls, and had a very Nice ROI (something like 2 bucks spend and 5.50 made) but there tracking is gay and they get charged per clicks, so I had to stop.

Anyways, I jsut started with another network.

$1.10 spent on clicks
$1.30 Rev

20 Cents Profit :P

Just under 11 bucks left to spend, probably wont be putting in more money, unless my ROI shoots up:P

Conclusion:

Ok, with 9 dollars I have been swaying from offer to offer, trying to make more than 10 cents per dollar spent, or atleast break even.

Im going to conclude this journal with the problems Twitter Traffic/Revtwt:

~ Twitter Traffic is junk - you'll get scrubbed to hell and back

~ Too small to scale - Find a profitable campaign making more than 5 bucks? Good Luck Scaling

~ You don't have control. What do I mean by this? Your adds success actually depends on who is tweeting your add. I've had different success with the same add copy/offer, simply because a different user is tweeting my add

~ Inconsistency - the success of campaigns is constantly changing, one day an add can be profitable the next its not. On average $5-10 has to be spent to find a profitable campaign; and most times it'll only make you 4-5 bucks before it become unprofitable.

~ Effort vs Reward Ratio: If you wanted to make $20-30 a day via Revtwt, you'd need to spend hours there - just get a job at McDicks

~ You can't stop campaigns, only pause them. That means the guy tweeting them can still use the add, just no new people can tweet it. And with revtwt you make dozens of campaigns in order to find profitable ones. So 1 or 2 ten cent clicks from dozens of adds up to dollars daily.

So, I recommend you don't bother with Revtwt. Go spend a little more and go with a REAL PPC network (FB, ADW, Bing). There's a reason revtwt is rarely talked about, especially the advertising part of it - it simply is ineffective.

I hope this helps anyone who is/has wondered about revtwt. I know it has helped me.

Thanks for reading.

I think just as big a problem in your test is trying to use email/zip submits.
Bottom line, you will NOT realize more than .03-.04 per click over the long term. And that is even on the GOOD ones. The bad ones, as you have seen, will stiff u completely.
So if you are buying traffic at .10 per click, the math isnt going to work on those offers. Period.
