Going to jump on and start sharing my project here.

As the title suggests, it's a wordpress site in the tarot/astrology niche. I've had the idea for quite some time, but never got around to it. However, I do have a 2 year old relevant domain that I will be using (hopefully this helps with the DA)

How it works:
-3 card tarot readings. I am using a free plugin which allows for a basic 3 card reading. I can upgrade to the "pro" version which provides more complex spreads, but I don't think necessary right now as the upgrade is $99 per month.
-Horoscope readings. I found a .json script from another website which provides a basic horoscope reading. It loads an interface where users click on their zodiac sign, then choose daily, weekly, or monthly readings, also on topics of career, love, and money.
-Google adsense enabled.
-Affiliate links to a live psychic service.
-Blog posts (obviously) to boost SEO and utilise affiliate links.

I finalised the website today along with one SEO optimised blog post. I have also purchased some backlinks from a member of the forum here.

Next steps/ideas to expand:
-Blog posts for now will be based around the horoscope more. The API I have generates unique text which I can copy, then edit along with adding keywords.
-For the tarot niche, can do posts on the different arcana.
-Given the biggest income winner for this will be the affiliate clicks for the psychic service, make some more content targeted towards benefits of using a psychic etc
-Add some more tarot/divination tools to the site. Unfortunately majority are monthly subs, so not worth it at this point.
-Amazon affiliate link to spiritual related products (ie Tarot decks, crystals, orgone)

I'll aim to update this weekly with my progress to share with everyone.

I'm using Oranum at the moment but will swap for Kasumba once the momentum picks up. Seems Kasumba vett their affiliates more and require a readership, but payouts are better.

Not personally - but I understand it's quite lucrative. I work a 9-5 in business banking, and I bank a lady who runs a divination/tarot business and she's doing quite well, but no website she's only face-to-face.

Hello hello

Reporting in with another update for this week.

-Unfortunately life and day job got in the way and I didn't get an opportunity to work on this as much as I wanted to over the weekend. Fortunately found some time today.
-I published two articles last week and have another 3 published today.
-I have started using AI to write content for me. I then edit to add more active voice in sentence structure and make it more readable, and SEO friendly.
-Discovered some issues with page load times, which I am working on to fix. Mainly this is due to image sizes.
-Analytics are nothing to write home about.
-Still waiting on adsense to be approved.



Goals for coming week:
-Publish 2 articles per day.
-Improve site loading time

Still waiting on backlinks to be set up from a provider.
Also considering subscribing to SEMrush, but not sure sure if the cost per month is worth it for me at this stage, but just wanting to be able to do some real keyword analysis.

One later and I'm back!

I feel like I'm learning so much daily with this journey.

What has happened since I last posted:
-I discovered there is an issue with Google not indexing my sites properly. I have now manually input all the article URLs into GSC and hopefully this will correct the issue and bring in traffic.
-I have spent a lot of time playing with Stable Diffusion to make AI images for my articles. I've attached some examples of some astrology/psychic related ones I'm working on. I'm trying to fine tune it into a particular style just for this website.
-Taking advice from our resident AI expert @Sartre, I have ditched Jasper and have begun working to finetune Open AI's DaVinci003.
-Site speed has been approved, now to a level of Google's satisfaction.

Next is building backlinks.
-Social media (Twitter and Pinterest) have been created and are sharing artciles.
-Tried to pay for PBN backlink, but it seems the astrology & tarot niche couldn't be posted as per Google policy for their site which is interesting. Will try another network.
-Using a few guides to get ******** backlinks from high DA websites like GitHub and Bing.
-Still publishing 1-2 articles per day based on DaVinci outputs.

Tonnes of good examples their of people killing it with traffic and this sounds like something that could convert well if your sites user friendly

Hello again everyone and Merry Christmas to BHW!

Please to be here with a pre-Christmas update.

-Page Speed is getting better, but still having a few issues with LCP.
-Search traffic is starting to pick up, more and more impressions are appearing. Have shown up for some non-conventional keywords related to the niche and I have made some content surrounding that.


-There are now 22 articles on the website.
-Working on topical authority, so will spend some time over the Christmas break to really plan out the content.
-Have purchased several backlinks and have them loaded, along with trying to use some tricks for free referring domains.
-Social profiles are setup and each blog post is shared on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.
-Taking this suggestion:

Tonnes of good examples their of people killing it with traffic and this sounds like something that could convert well if your sites user friendly

and have had DaVinci write me a guided meditation relaxation script. Have engaged a freelancer to turn this into an ASMR video. Full video will be on youtube, along with shorts from the full vid will be posted on TikTok.

Next steps:
-Build out content plan to create topical authority and build page authority.
-Get some more easy traffic, looking at Youtube and TikTok next with the ASMR video!

I am very interested in this niche, and I am going to be following this. I promote a lot of these types of products when doing affiliate marketing, so I want to see how much this converts with organic traffic. All the best with this project, man.

Yep, still here and providing updates! Holiday times keeping me busy, but still finding time to work on this.

-34 articles now published. I now have a content map to cover my content requirements for the next 4-5 months if I publish one article per day. The goal is to build topical authority in the niche by publishing a lot of general articles to cover the major topics and information silos.
-Traffic and impressions are rising at a healthy pace. I am now ranking in 3 easy keywords between ranks 44-56.
-In discussions with a few voice actors to create guided meditation content. These will be released as full videos on youtube and then edited shorts to post on Tiktok.
-No other revenue since my last post.
-Starting to build a backlink profile using backlink services on BHW.

Indeed, great journeys always has close watchers. I love journeys because they teach lot many things.

Hello again, back with another update.

I recently purchased @Sartre 's Doctor Niche (really recommend this, it's an incredible tool) and have been conducting intensive research into other astrology and tarot sites, in particular ones that have agreements with mediavine and other top advertising networks. Part of my analysis is on how they format their websites and try to adapt it to my own. There is a clear "vibe" to these sites (not just in my niche, other top earners) and I am adapting this.

Have also discovered some low hanging keywords from competitors and have crafted some content around that. I wrote an article earlier today for a keyword that has 2.1k traffic but difficulty of 18.

Going to be a full on few weeks between my day job and this, but still have motivation to power through it.
