First, I would start with a very simple hosting that provides WordPress by default, like Siteground

Then I would consider watching some videos specifically regarding WordPress

For example, Elementor Academy: https://elementor.com/academy/launch-your-wordpress-website (you could also learn about Elementor, that helps you put all the visual things according to your taste)

There are thousands of professionals that are purely living of creating webs with Elementor for design and WordPress for the site itself.

If you can manage these two technologies, you will be free to do whatever you like, so you can start from there.

PS: Also consider purchasing Elementor Cloud, for only $79/year, you will have a WordPress with Elementor by default and just ready to you start learning.
