Tips for growing single Twitter Account?

Yes, I realize I'm posting this while Twitter is going through things, haha.

But does anyone have any tips for growing just a single Twitter account? Started one about a week ago, just did regular posting, some following/unfollowing (no shadowban yet, I believe), and not much else. Any other feedback, suggestions, or whatever it may be would be greatly appreciated.

like the positive comments from your followers, be active every day. Not saying do 100 actions a day, but be consistent, natural and patient.

Find big accounts in your niche, follow them and enable their tweet notifications.
As soon as they tweet make a reply relevant to their tweet which also provides value and preferably expands on their point.
Follow everyone who likes your reply after 24 hours, and after another 24 hours unfollow everyone who doesn't follow you back.

Consistency is the key here. Since it is a single account, get it installed in your mobile and operate via official twitter app.

Make a schedule for everyday - do a fixed number of tweets, follows, retweets and hearts.

Never unfollow large number of people (100's in a day) or you will attract Twitters attention.

Try using a tool like Followerwonk. It will help you manage and grow your twitter account better.

2. Get some likes and re-tweets on your own tweets so you'll get more exposure

I would say the biggest issue I am having is that my Twitter account is not a niche account; it's mostly just dumb joke tweets, political tweets, and replies to bigger tweets. I wouldn't say it's necessarily unworking; I've gained a couple of hundred followers out of nothing, but without a niche, it's hard to decide how to grow the account further.

Definitely should divide and concur. You should find a smaller twitter subset (example rap) and try to appeal to them. If your goal is to farm the account then this will work even better as you will have a more specific audience people will be willing to pay for. Or just be a really really good general account.
