So, I was so excited 'redesigning' (you know, just changing template) my site with this cool elementor template... Everything looked so posh... I thought 'yes, this is it, finally my site doesn't look poor af'. It had these cool css effects and transitions, etc. Then I went to check it on mobile and font is tiny like fruit fly wrote this and generally site looks shit on mobile. Wtf envato. I'm back to very basic default free elementor template, at least it's readable *facepalm*. Idk what's up with these fancy templates, they're always either unreadable or break. Waste of fuckin time.

If you’ve heard of generatepress and generate blocks then Kadence and Kadence blocks will be familiar. Kadence pro has the same features as generatepress with hooked elements etc.

Kadence blocks is much more robust than generate blocks. It can replace page builders like elementor as you are able to design themes for any post type, category archives, individual categories, and individual post/pages. But it doesn’t load a ton of bloat on every page.

AND you don’t have to design for desktop, tablet, and mobile individually. You build one thing and it’s done.

Learn css, html. Yeah, it helps a loooot. Specially with plugins like tailwind, css is pretty dope these days. You kinda are 50% there already. All you need to learn is media/container queries now. Don’t assume yourself a non “programmer”. If yiu could do half of it, you could do it fully as well.


ps, people might tell you to use plugins. Sure, a plugin might work, but they are not that lightweight, and not consistent either. Do it with basic css/html, it will always be good.

Here's little advice for you: whenever you are making some changes just make a backup before doing anything. Also, it would be great if you can have a development version of your site so you don't break anything on a live version. The dev version can be easily set up by making subdomain.domain.com and copying your site there. Just keep in mind to disable indexing of your dev version.

It might seem like a long process to do something on dev and apply/copy that to live, but down the road, it will save you time and it will save you from making mistakes you cannot revert.

lesson learned, check it on all kind of device first before investing further time. If you don't have diffrent kinda phones, you can test it on PC though by pressing f12 or insppecting elements. There is an option there to check how a website would look like in any kinnda devices.

I'm like a noob over here for the most part with everything, but knowing some HTML and CSS really helped me a lot during my decade of MMO (make money online).

Like, if you're not gonna be a programmer and if you don't plan on making your own websites and stuff like that, then I guess you can do without. Like if you're gonna be a Youtube/Fiverr/Upwork superdick or some shit, then you don't need. But if you're gonna be a real G (like self-proclaimed real G andrew tate lol dummy), then you gonna be served well by some <div> and color:blue

Yeah, I know.

What you gotta do then is do what you can do yourself, and for the rest ask on BHW and Stackoverflow.

But I've discovered that as you're running around doing what you can figure out how to do yourself, oftentimes you end up fixing the entire thing yourself. It's like, you learn things and the new acquired knowledge allows you to connect some dots, and you end up figuring it out.

And tutorials, well, for many things there are no tutorials. There are tutorials and forum discussions about related things, closely related things, and you just go through the entire internet and you pick up the information, put it all together, make it fuck, and solve your problem.

It's much easier to just throw money at it though
