Hi,
I was thinking about starting a dropshipping store, but I found many people telling me it's not worth it anymore!
can anybody with prior dropshipping experience answer me if starting a store in 2023 is a good decision or not?

Don’t let anybody to discourage you

You can actually start it when you have hot product in market with good promotion strategies

I think it's saturated now due to some drawbacks of high competition and logistics.

I understand there's much more competition than in the past ... but if I find the right products and a good promotion strategy, I think I can achieve something!

There is a market for it. You just need to target a niche demographic.

Don't try too sell everything and anything. Generic clothing sites, for example, would be difficult to survive with the competition. But a site specifically selling workout apparel for overweight women, that is a bit more niche specific.

So, find a good subcategory with some demand and specialize in that one thing.

I can start but their are too issues for payment processors tho , and claims kills the spirit

there is market for sure. and some still work for it
but prepare for
issue with customer
issue with payment
issue with logistic
issue with Supplier

sometime it's not even their fault like last year pandemic, when a lot of international shipping is blocked. some customer dont want to wait and start canceling or chargeback their purchase.

I think dropshipping got really saturated in the last 4 years or so, you would have to be EXTREMELY GOOD at advertising to get a good return on your ads.

Bad decision, forget this shit...dropshipping is profitable if you're not honest, selling ''problem-solvers'' that costs $4 in China, obvioulsy your victim...ooopps, clients will be angry with the quality of the products, the delivery time and so on

Or you guys think that Facebook it's banning these shit shops created yesterday without any trustability for no reasons?

If you niche down find a good product or products from a local supplier that ships quick then you could do well.

Yes you will sure achieve it
Just make sure you work smart

Even spamming CPA offers links on social media, porn re-uploading , creating a YouTube channel or working at Mcdonalds is saturated nowadays, we dont live in 1995 anymore( many differences, like the number of people living on this Earth, which can have both positive or negative effects, depending which half of the glass are you observing),plus that "dropshipping" was implemented long before Internet existed(internet being just a new method of advertising it)..I doubt that Jeff Bezos thought that his idea will fail just because Pierre Omidyar established eBay before him

Drop shipping has been very profitable for some people but it has proved to be a terrible business idea for many too.

You will always get mixed opinions on this if you ask this question in the community.

The best way is to start by your own on a smaller scale and test the water yourself. Nobody can do it for you but yourself. Do experiments, find your own results, learn and move on.

Keep a small budget for your experimental project and be prepared to lose your time and money. I can assure you that you will get your first hand result by yourself only.

That's what I do for myself ;)

I looked into drop shipping as well, from what I understand, you can still make substantial money but you've got to treat it as a real business and not just a side hustle. That means learning all the components of running an actual business, from marketing/advertising, SEO, getting a good attorney, agents who will source things for you, etc. The key is finding evergreen niche products that are always in demand. Good luck.

You can do the same but with servcies. not physical products. for example, you can outsource logo at Fiverr for 5USD and sell it for 10USD~

Drop-shipping is a good business, but start with low investment. Four months before I have stuck my money in drop-shipping

To be successful in dropshipping, you will (nowadays) have to invest time, money, and effort. Approximately 27% of online retailers are using dropshipping and the market valuation of the dropshipping industry is expected to reach $557.9 billion, by 2025. Dropshipping, without a doubt, is still going strong.
On-time shipping needs to be given importance in dropshipping, apart from great customer service. You need to work with reliable suppliers, if you are dropshipping.
