Facebook Contact List Upload

Have been trying to upload a contact file that I generated in OpenOffice Calc (like Excel). I export into CSV just one column of e-mail addresses. I try uploading this on Facebook contact file option and it rejects the CSV file every time. I have tried CSV format with the emails in quotations ("") and without. I have tried with the first line being "E-mail addresses" (as it specifies in Facebook help) and without. Still, it's giving me an error when I try uploading the file. Any suggestions? Is my format wrong?

I have never tried to upload a csv file for this, so i can't let you know whether or not it has worked for me.
What i tend to do is use a (.ctt).
It works every time when i upload a (.ctt), if you need help how to make a (.ctt) file, google is your friend, and if you still can't get any help just reply back here.

OK, cool, figured it out- thank you GMAIL.

HOW-TO import contacts
----
1. Generate list of emails however you will (download a list, auto-generator) -> output/save list as CSV
2. Create gmail account (any email address wil do)
3. Gmail...Contacts...Import (select CSV)
4. From FB...Friends...Find People you Email...enter Gmail credentials

Facebook will import all addresses from Gmail. That should do it.


Note: CSV Format MUST have
E-mail Address

as first line

rest are email addresses- one per line, no "" marks.

Gmail contact limit is 10k mails.... Facebook can`t import it..Last time i wait 26 minutes. I can suggest everyone to upload smaller lists

I have create it with M Excel. I have created 2 columns one with name and other with Email ID . The on with name i leave it blank and on the other i add emails. It works perfectly. Iam doing this every day , 5 times a day.

I have imported today 2 contact emails file with like 3000-4000 accounts per file and than i got blocked for a few hours..

I have added them as a friend. First for all my groups and pages i add people as a friend to a facebook account an than i invite them to the page or group.

And of 3/4k emails, how much were already registered to facebook so addable as fan?

200-300 of them. But i do this proces 2 times a day on multiple account and will be ok.

Thanks all for your replies in this topic pretty helpful...was having some difficulties with my attempts.
Currently got like an 70-80 percentage facebook accounts results.
