Growing NSFW & SFW Subreddits?

I have a couple of subreddits with very good names. What are some good strategies or guides for long-term growth and monetization?
The NSFW Subreddits are based on certain fetishes, while the SFW ones have a lot of niches, from therapy to certain hobbies or platforms.

maybe post regularly and cross post in other subreddits? watermark the posts with you link ? .. there are maybe more ways.. try studying competitors?

Crossposting doesn't really work in most scenarios since, at least in the NSFW niches, 99% of subreddits have crossposting disabled. Watermarking also I don't think would work since that means I'd steal other people's pictures and put the sub's watermark on top which would open the sub to problems and complains. As for studying competitors, I really can't see anything on how the mods worked to build the sub initially. All the subs are completely user-driven right now.

I see that the 'invite to community' option is available only on mobile so how could I automate it with Python?

This guide I wrote might help, in your case you should especially make use of the tools to find similar subreddits, since it's fetish oriented so you'd likely have smaller targets.
