9 years ago I bought shared hosting on a certain hosting provider during black friday for 3 years.

6 years ago i did it again. But they didn't offer black friday discount for renewals, so i let the old hosting expire, and i moved all my sites to the new package.

3 years ago i did it again. The same deal, had to move all my sites over again.

And here we are again. Except this time they say on their black friday page:

"Please note that your existing hosting package cannot be cancelled and transferred to a new package in order to receive the discount. If this occurs, you will be billed retroactively for the discounted amount."

Of course, I could try doing it again. I could use a different IP address to buy the new package and everything. But the websites would be the same. It's a footprint. Not sure if they would actually care.

Anyway, you guys think I should try to do my old trick again, or just move to a new host?

Technically they are telling the offer is for new customers or new account not for the existing one

But they did not restrict existing customer to create new account with different emails to claim the offer right?

If the service was good and beneficial to your business, repay them in full and continue to support them.

I'm just not sure how far they're going to take it. Like, not sure if they just wrote the message to scare people away from doing it, or if they plan on checking anything after.

Because once black friday is over, it's over, and i cant get those discounts again until next year.

name cheap is my best bet, since cloudways do not offer great blackfriday deals, just 4 months deals is what they offer on blackfridays. could you please recommend me something

On the other hand I renew normally, no hassle, and I pay $350 for 1 year (so $1,050 for 3 years)

If you search a good one, I can recommend Hetzner, Vultr I dont know how much you earn and how much traffic your site gets, but I used this hosting and never had problems with them so far.
