I cant view blackhatworld without a proxy? whilst im typing this, im using a proxy to access this site, as since the servers were upgraded a couple of days ago, I cant access this site in both IE or MF it says "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.blackhatworld.com" How do I fix it? arghhh

they usually ban i.ps when they bann a user

is this your second time here?

no, this is my 1 and only account, it was working fine for me a week or so ago, and now nothing

I just cleared all my cache and cookies/browser/password etc and thats done nothing, hmm this is frustrating. I also held down f5 and control to flush the browser or whatever that does, and nothing. ARGHH

Happened to me several times, you'll need to reboot your modem and see if you change your ip

The same thing has happened to me a couple of times.
In a day or two I can usually access BHW normally again.

If you are behind a NAT (network address translation) then try unplugging your modem for a few minutes and then plug it back in. Hopefully you will get a new IP. Many ISP's are using NAT to save IP's. They put thousands of users on the same IP. You may be on the same IP as a banned x member currently.

ok thanks guys, ill try it now

same situation here, its been like this for over a month and a half. its a pain in the ass but as long as i can view this place the way i am now, then im not to bothered. right now im currently using opera turbo (its a function that comes with opera browser to make shit load faster trough their proxy). this is the shit that i get whenever i try to get on without it:

This happened to me too, I could not access this forum fr about a month or so unless I used a proxy. Now all appears to be normal again, but I have a new ip.

This is the problem im having, I went to start>Run> typed in cmd and then !pingwww.blackhatworld.com and this is what came up

'Destination Host unreachable' By the way, I changed my Ip Address 3 times, and even disconnected my modem for a few minutes and right clicked on my internet connection and clicked 'repair' is there anything else i can do to try to fix this?

Same thing was happening to me for about two weeks and I had to use a proxy but now its ok again. Was a pain in the proverbial not being able to get in as a proxy would not work all the time either. Tried every possible way to clean up my PC just in case it was that.
It was almost like I was being filtered from entering. Kept getting a 502.

how did you fix it?

I had the same problem with BHW, then other sites as well, got to be a real pain. Spent ages pissing about with ip and dns stuff, reinstalling browsers etc. What fixed it in the end was reducing MTU on router to 1400 .

how do you reduce the MTU on the router, where did I go for that?

You need to put the ip address that came with your router into your browser and log into the admin panel ( you will need pw). look for settings and mtu - yours is probably on 1495, reduce it to 1400. If you can't find ip address or have lost pw suggest you visit your router manufacturer site. they should have instructions on how to reset router to default so you can access it.

It's to do with your dns servers.

A. You flush your dns cache

or

B. You need to get some new dns servers. Either get some off your isp or go to http://www.opendns.com/ and use theirs.

If you tried to harvest emails from BHW
your IP gets blocked.
