I found some solar panel affiliates yesterday.

They are basically paying $900 per conversion. The offer description was relatively short as they usually are before opting in but regardless it made me think...

Is anyone here doing these currently? Ahrefs obviously gives KD +70-80 but still sounds like a great offer tbh.

Yes, real question is do they pay. Also how is their conversion rate.

They probably pay that only after sale is done, which is good amount.
And its doable for sure.

Solar panels are quite hot and have been for last years.
Big competition there as well

This is what I was thinking too.

The mentioned offer was through a third-party affiliate company which means that there are definitely some leads shaving involved.

Found one in the UK directly via the company 5% and the residential systems cost around 10,000 GBP so 500 GBP is also not a bad deal.

Solar panels is one of the most competitive sub-verticals of home improvements. You'll go head to head with many brands that both know what they are doing and don't afraid to play dirty. In addition to the brands, there are some aggregators with very deep pockets.

If you go for it, I'd suggest you to either write some guides on related topics (save money on electricity for example), or flat out top 10, which will help you get deals directly from the brands on either CPL or CPA basis.

This was basically my entire idea. Getting an email list of interested parties seems not to be a very difficult task in this niche.

The payouts are obviously the highest for conversions so I'd rather aim for that than sell them single leads.

The problem, how they will pay, if most of deals will be done via direct call and visit company, not via online transaction.
The same you can go to few solar companies and make sale partnership agreement and this will be better than any online affiliate

You'll be able to test yourself much faster with CPL, but that's a matter of preference.

I'm outside of UK or US so this isn't an option for me. Too much to handle too.

I did it from Israel for a long time. These companies will wire pretty much anywhere.

You might be correct about that actually. I didn't check CPL offers yesterday so I assumed they were around $5 or so but $90 isn't bad at all... this might even be a better option.

It's easier to get 10 leads via form submissions than 1 conversion for sure. The payout is the same.

Who would qualify as a lead anyone?

There is no extra information. As I said earlier you'll get more on this if you are opting in.. i haven't looked into this more than that.

I'd imagine the problem with something like this would be getting them to sign up with an energy company that isn't in their area. So yeah you'd have to do it local.

They convert more than 1 in 10, some even in the range of 25%. The forms are pretty long, but that's the standard for this type of industries.

More often than not, they'll agree to set up a postback for sales, too.

And about the CPL, you'll get more than $90 after you send them a few. Many pubs work through CJ because it's perfect fot this type of campaigns.

That's not an issue at all. Most of these companies are nationwide.

The issue is that if you want to go for conversions then most companies will count cookies for 30 days but since it's high ticket service it might not be enough. Some offer more but I saw 14 days too.

Would you recommend any particular network I can find solar affiliate programs?
