Does deleting old articles from the site cause damage to the domain?

I have a news site based on RSS feeds, I noticed that the database has reached 10GB.
And storage of over 600 gigabytes. This is what made the site eat up a lot of server resources and money.
I want an advice from you: if I delete all the old articles and build a new site from scratch with the same idea, will it cause damage to the search engine domain?
Authoreuthy Domain: 37 and articles archived in Google about: one and a half million.

if you delete the articles that rank you'll obviously lose the rankings because the deleted articles will return 404 URLs, which is bad.

se elimini gli articoli che classificano ovviamente perderai le classifiche perché gli articoli eliminati restituiranno 404 URL, il che è negativo.
