Blog impressions dropped off massively

Hi All,

I know that there has been a recent Google update on 19th October, however, the decline in impressions began on October 18th.

My blog is only 1 month old, so I'm not sure whether this is normal or if it's something to be concerned by.

I have around 35 blog posts and all of the indexed posts (~25) are still indexed.

I haven't received any warnings from Google search console and I haven't made any changes to my site other than adding some extra posts.

Can anyone offer any insight into why this might be happening or what I can do to solve this?

UPDATE

I have checked, and Google has deindexed some of my pages, it's just not showing in Google search console. Any idea why this might be happening?

The posts have only been up for around 2-3 weeks and all of the content is hand written by me, and isn't low quality in my opinion. It's definitely higher quality than a lot of the posts currently on Google for similar topics

Is this normal for a new site or should I be concerned?

No idea why my pages have been de-indexed, so frustrating.

Google search console is not updating either, but it is showing a redution in mobile friendly pages despite no changes being made.

Ok cool, good to know. It's an expired domain, so hopefully it will stabilise a little sooner that 6 months, but no stress if not.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something majorly wrong with my blog posts

I actually just made a post about this same issue - (sorry, noob mistake). I am coming here now to say that I am experiencing the exact same issue. Sucks, because the impression data is helpful just as a proxy for having some "success" with what you are writing in the early stages.

Yep - it's the fear that my domain may have a previous penalty from someone who has used it in the past and I'm just wasting my time writing content. Decided to give it a break for a few weeks and if the impressions rise (even to 50-100 per day, which isn't much at all) then I'll get back into the writing.

Good idea. I've read quite a few threads now. It seems like a pretty common thing. Most sites come back, but it's not clear after how long (I've seen 2 weeks to 2 months).

Been around a month for me so far an no signs on coming back. Hopefully it will soon.

Nope, still remaining pretty low unfortunately. Started a second blog which has overtaken the impressions and has 10x more clicks with half as many posts

In october my website impressions also went to almost 0 automatically even if I did not do anything wrong. After the December spam and helpful content update it got restored. Getting 400-500 impressions per day now after 2 weeks

Yeah, tell me about it. That forms the basis of whole thing actually. We can study the impression data and predict whether the content is going in the right direction or not.

I don't tell people to buy backlinks unless they need it, and I never push people to buy mine. He had nothing ranking, he had maybe 1 blog post ranked in top 10 and google kicked it probably because it had no backlinks among probably weak content and maybe a few ranking top 100.
His post is unrelated to the update its just a general dropoff.
If you ever read my posts I could care less if people buy my backlinks. In fact, I bitch people out who only sell their crap instead of giving proper advice.
I have all the software to make backlinks and I'm trying to give back to the community at a more affordable price.
I don't rely on it as in income at all, and could care less if I make any money off it. I don't sell, I just advise.


Just to show you an example. I was plan on making a high quality high DA guest posts to sell. However I decided it wasn't worth my time. This is the GSC for it, comprised of 20 articles, 0 backlinks, mediocre on page seo (2-3 pictures with proper headings only, per each page). Haven't touched it since Dec.
