Do you trust TrustPilot?

When you find some kind of service you're interested in, you probably would like to check reviews about it, right?
Is trustpilot the most popular reviews platform worldwide? Or where do you prefer to read reviews about the company/service?
Do you trust trustpilot?
There are too many fake comments and reviews on trustpilot, its hard to trust. But you can understand if the reviews are real or fake. Its very understandable that one comment is made from a real customer or bot

of course I believe it... I have being spending over $200 on 5 star reviews!
;):)

PAA with most standard ones to manipulate more to general users. Most of them would be paid fake reviews. It's not happening only there, it's been on amazon Google and other reviews mostly masked by fake promoters.

Nope! You can not trust any online review in these days.

I feel like review sites like TrustPilot are about the closest thing (besides word of mouth) that we'll get to an accurate review system. I still take them with a grain of salt though and always notice if reviews look dodgy.

You think these are fake reviews? (bought)

I don't think online reviews are correct. They are just false reviews as per my knowledge.

It is quite possible. At the moment it is very profitable to do so

Not sure if anyone said this but it depends more on the review and less on the site. You can sometimes tell which are fake and which are real. People who don’t know about this stuff will believe most everything they read though so it probably doesn’t hurt.

Yes. The majority of reviews are still alive. They delete about 2 out of 10 of my reviews. Trustpilot is deleting them manually after the reviews have been approved within 48 hours of approval. It is totally random, not because the reviews are “being detected as fake.” It’s simply so they can say they do delete reviews. They just leave out the part that they delete reviews randomly whether fake or real.

I can verify that. I made a positive genuine review to random company with my personal account, nothing shady, spam or fake about it. But it got deleted after 48 hours. Their “automated fake detection software” is totally bullshit.

Getting fake reviews is an easy job but i wish there was a way to actually fight back 1 star and negative reviews from fake customers.

By the way, this is not the first time I've noticed this. Even on normal forums can be banned for spam. When you are a regular user. This is a major problem with the software, it's probably not set up properly.

I don t trust it but I still check the reviews.. Not only there but anywhere they are available. Most of the times you can see the scams right away, the problem is with sleek ones..

Nada!
They blackmail businesses, approve fake positive reviews, and delete true positive reviews just so you can subscribe to their paid plan to get negative reviews removed. Lol

It's not about business manipulating the reviews per se (businesses do manipulate reviews, not new). But the BS is horrendous on TP team side.
