Hello everybody,
Has anyone tried to contact a channel owner to ask for content translation permission ? I mean setting up a new channel with same content but in a different language.
Any thoughts ?

Of course, it is necessary to ask for their permission; for example, the UFC has their main channel and a few other channels that are in another language, I've seen many videos that were taken from the UFC main channel and then got translated, but they got a copyright claim after a week or so.
If you are copying someone's content, even if you are translating it, the content itself is not yours not asking for permission is asking for trouble.

If videos of channel was set to Creative Commons License. So, you don't get any COPYRIGHT strike. You can content translation
