How to succeed in something???

I am a 55 year old Disabled Veteran who has tried for years to create a successful website, with no luck. I deal with high levels of pain daily.

I create the websites with Wordpress and I am an Amazon affiliate. To me a successful website is one that has increasing views and increasing DA.

For a living I do Power Bi Data visualizations, SQL, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. I also play with Python and Openscad. I tell you this so you know my skills more.

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Getting succes online you must endure the pain going with a method even if you dont see any results until you see .The thing its you need to choose a method ,a traffic source etc amd stick with it for at least 6 months .For example you may check how people are making money with affiliate marketing and theyr traffix sources .You must stick to a traffic source and master it ,if you change from 1 thing to another it will not work .Or you can learn a high income skill like how to rank yt videos ,seo ,coding etc

Lots of people search on YouTube for educational videos related to tech/softwares, etc. Once your Youtube channel gains some traction, brands may approach your with sponsorhips, apart from chances of YouTube monetization. If so, why not just focus on one site, get that earning money then scale and add more.

For amazon aff sites, niche and keyword selection are crucial. Needless to say, you also need high-quality content. Ranking aff sites was already hard. Now with these recent google updates, it is now even harder.

If you're having trouble with affiliate sites, why not try some easy to rank informational keywords first and try to monetize with ads.

Since you are good with data, then a business idea is selling courses for these things.

Another thing, since you are a tech-first person (like myself) you need to switch in your mindset and realize that marketing is extremely important and investing in things like social media marketing will have a great ROI if you know how to optimize each platform. Certain platforms are competing with each other for specific content types and are willing to boost people who use those features.

If you don't what apps I am talking about and what features for those apps that I am talking about it, then you need to get up to speed.

First check what you are getting wrong and try to fix them all, you also said websites.. which mean you have couple of websites

I once was on that, having couple of websites with zero earning in 99% others, only but one website of mine is making money while i was investing the money on others 99 websites..

Now i have dropped my other websites to just three websites now, only one is still making money and the other two is getting ready as well

You also need to work on your traffic by improving on your website contents, keywords and more importantly, start building leads, such as email leads, and using email marketing, cold emailing etc can also work

Use social media, as well Youtube

Also see if you can drop some of your website and focus on one or two website, when they start making money you can add


Also growing online business niche take time and being consistent. Try being consistent and invest in Keywords and helpful contents, onpage and more importantly off page SEO

Thanks for the great advice. The pain I have to deal with is one thing that makes it hard to complete anything. Sometimes, I can work hours on an idea and sometimes only minutes. It all depends on how high my pain level gets.

I have focused on one website for over a year, but it never got going good. I am not sure if it was due to it being a small niche website or not. One thing that I need to start doing on the site is something that the experts on here might be able to help me.

The site is podhints.com. Using my data knowledge and python, I started scraping the data from the various different Print on Demand (POD) websites and created a searchable list of products that can be main using print on demand. I know that there is always a lot of questions on the POD forums and groups on if / where a product could be sources.

I created and updated the list for months, but never could get the traffic to increase. I did have a couple of articles in the Top 10 of google search. I think one of the problems, was how to show / setup the tables to get the fastest web access and good end user access. Anyone have any good ideas on creating user friendly tables in wordpress that are not real slow.

This sounds just like me. I do need to work on my marketing and never thought about psychology skills. Any links to free / low cost training?
