Thoughts on USDT?

Where I am based, the value of my currency is going down rapidly, so I just invest in USDT cause even if USDT may not be up, due to my falling currency value, it's the safest bet for me

I kinda realize that now, so I've been moving my money to some other physical assets. Crypto has been going downhill ever since the last boom and regulations around crypto are getting strict where I'm based.

why you want to invest on usdt? investing on stable token is no diff than hold real $$.
if your purpose is bank alt. than i suggest busd and usdc on hardweare wallet

I'd rather go to USDC since it isn't centralized. Anyway, Pax Gold is probably better than any of them.

Stablecoins aren't great investments but are great to getting paid. So sellers should use them.

If the biggest stable coin USDT crashes, nothing can survive after that point.

I recently went down the Coffeezilla rabbit hole on USDT and its potential danger for a market collapse. If you haven't seen them, it's a few videos, but you can https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-whuXHSL1Pg the most thorough one on the topic. The gist of the video is simple, USDT's marketing usually claims they are backed 1:1, when in fact, they are backed (with true liquid assets) only 3:100.

Multiple whales pulled out of the coin a few months ago making its market cap drop by several billions of dollars. Are we just waiting for the day enough people run for the door for this entire market to collapse? And if it does, do you think it'll ripple into the rest of the market?

I have not continued holding any USDT since watching this, and only purchase the coin when I intend to immediately use it for a payment for something else. Very curious to hear what this community's thoughts are on the topic.
i think usdt is fine, that being said, split ur stables in busd, usdc and usdt

Doing the same thing, I store the money in usdc and when purchasing usdt
