Any Thoughts On Wordpress.com Paid Hosting

I'm expected to have 20k (or up to 50k) visitors after a while per website. at first i would go for the 8$ plan, untill i get the visitors to add up. After that, thinking at going for the 25$ plan as i can add my own theme, include google ads, and more.

The first thing thats important to me is that the hosting should be able to manage the traffic, and second, the web host provider shouldn't look spammy/untrusted in google's eyes (as would a shared web host [as most of them do])

Do you think wordpress.com would meet these criteria's ?

Not using that. They will ask a lot of it since is the only way they earn €€

There are many options like WPX, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode that are much better.

Expecting doesn't mean that you will have 20k... Just saying, don't waste money.
When it comes you upgrade.

Why not go with managed cloud hosting? There are a couple of options available. Also, that would be pretty much reliable and you can extend the resources as your business grows. With $10/m you can even host 10 sites there.

Yes, you can use digitalocean's marketplace to create cPanel's droplet. But it'll cost you an extra $15/m for 1 account as it's a 3rd party application.

DO actually provide unmanaged cloud hosting. If you have an excellent knowledge of server side management, then it'd be best for you to go with them.

You don't need shitty cPanel... that is a lack of resources use instead HestiaCP or LEMP + Redis

WordPress.com is very limited.

Self Hosted WordPress is much better IMHO.

No bro, no thoughts on wordpress.com at all.

If you are going for shared hosting, I recommend Namecheap.
If you are going for VPS, I recommend Vultr / Kamatera.

Do note you can run a vps with WordPress automatically installed so you would not need to bother with much tech stuff (or at all). You can choose your own themes & plugins, and for $24 a month you can get High Frequency 128GB NVMe, 2vCPU's, 4GB memory and 3TB bandwidth.

I'm currently hosting more than 10 websites on Cloudways > 2gb ram, vultr (NY), 64gb disk

In your case 1gb RAM would be enough.
