not super informed but ftx sounds screwed, SOL is in freefall and i have lots of withdrawals requested that may or may not pass through lol. this may be the poster child of "not your keys, not your crypto" for ages to come.

Hope not. After luna, it will be disaster for whole market.

Its already dead. And the whole crypto market as whole will take huuuuuuge hit from that.

It's going to destroy the market at least for the short term.

I luckily realized this around 2 days ago and opened a short on FTT when it broke the $22 support, and as you can see the price is much lower now so I was successful.
But it's not going to be fixed quickly.

Firstly Cz makes tweets about Ftx and causes a mass sell off and issues internally and then causes the market to crash, then says he'll step in to fix it which causes it to pump, afterwards says he probably won't buy it and causes it to crash again.
This is clear market manipulation which is only benefitting whales who know of the news early and it's not going to make crypto look good publicly either.

I definitely doubt it will recover soon, btc was on a good path recently but this has ruined it. I'll probably stay out of all trades for a while because of all the FUD and manipulation going around.

More pain to come. BTC was already geared towards 10k, this will act as a catalyst

Another case of "not your keys not your coins"

Exchanges are only good for buying Bitcoin then withdrawing, or depositing and selling. Everyone who loses with these scammers like Luna, Celsius, FTX/Sam, refuse to learn their lesson.

The value is in decentralization, Bitcoin, security & holding your assets cold storage.

Why we should use SOL if we have Visa that is the same? 2 centralized options and at least visa does not fall X hours every month
ehh, there are some reasons. to name one, SOL doesnt pay taxes nor is it bound by ridiculous laws. this is huge in some countries. but that's more a crypto thing than a sol thing.
