Have yoy recovered from last Google update: Helpful Google update? If yes, how you did it?

My website is destroyed, and I don't know what to do. my content is reviewed and changed by me, I added the FAQ section, It is over 1,500 words per post, not spammy, around half are affiliate marketing products reviews and the other is information ones.

I did days ago. I have not done one thing to the site at all.

No changes or content added.
Yes, they are updating the changes. That is why some sites are regaining ranks.

There is no one definitive answer to this question. Some webmasters and SEOs believe that they have recovered from the last Google update, while others believe that the update has had a negative impact on their traffic and rankings.

The one site I have that got hit hasn't recovered. I'm trying to be patient to see if it bounces back in the next couple months but it's maddening.

I've seen a theory that the two recent updates are fighting each other which is causing unintended results.

Something really changed with the last (late Sep-early Oct) update.
I noticed a mild recovery after Aug 1 hit.
Let's see the further changes in Google algo.

It might be this “search bug” google announced. It started affecting sites on Oct 18-19 (exactly when my traffic tanked). According to Google a “fix” started on the Oct 28th which will take appx a week to implement, they havnt announced it complete so it’s still being worked on.Google was very vague about it, but 1 week is quite a long time to fix a bug.

This morning at 1 AM my pre-drop traffic returned…for 1 hour…Then it dropped back down again. Frustrating but gave me hope.

More info on “bug” and my drop:

Google is getting worse with every update the problem is indexing new content.

ya I have no fu$king clue what’s going on with my index. Indexed pages have been jumping all over the place: showing records for only a few days as if I had just submitted (it’s 1 year old) then jumping back up to accurate numbers and now it’s bouncing everywhere between. It’s gotta be connected to the traffic drop people r dealing with.

Helpful Content Update is an algorithm update by Google that helps reward content that gives users a satisfying experience

Here are our suggested points that help to recover from Google's helpful update

2. Determining which content is created primarily to rank. We will then devise a strategy for noindexing, removing, or improving this content.

4. Revamping content and improving E-A-T based on the questions. Google suggests in their blog post on what site owners should know about core updates, as well as their guides to writing product reviews and affiliate content.

Calling it the “helpful” update isn’t going to change the fact that this is a disasterous update that has erroneously impacted a huge number of people and put their livelihoods at risk.

Your entire response makes the incorrect assumption that this so called “helpful” update only obliterated guilty/offending websites.

So can you please write another guide this time for all the people that have had their trafffic iverserated for no good reason and are guilty of none of the web crimes they are being so severely punished for committing? What can they do?

didn't have to recover. ranking wasn't hurt.

my sites have been alright, might be due to the fact i went on an editing spree after i found out about the update. I know someone who was affected and has recovered though. He said most of the pages which overtook him were such low quality and irrelevant to the topic, it only took about a week for the results to re-adjust.

our casino sites most of them got downgrade with new update, but updating new backlinks and content some of them still recovering the ranking

How much was the downgrade for yours in percent? Some of our gambling affiliate sites were hit heavily on 21st October too.

Your points make a lot of sense. Google is rewarding EXPERTISE. Content that's regurgitated from already existing sources, as is the case with AI content, will not cut it.

That means you have to work with writers who are either really good at research or experts in their respective niches. For instance, if it's a health & fitness blog, you either work with a doctor/nurse or hire a really talented writer who can write like a medical expert. In the event that you choose the latter, it might also be a good idea to have a doctor who can be fact-checking the articles before they go live.

It may sound like too much work but is definitely worth it.

Yup, you can be doing everything right but Google will somehow find a fault in whatever you are doing. I think they are out to frustrate webmasters...perhaps as a long-term strategy to boost their revenues.

I'm also suspecting there's some level of corruption going on at the Google headquarters whereby some websites are being illegally whitelisted.

I have seen one suspicious site from India that's doing quite well despite having what I'd consider averagely written content (India = where the current Google CEO's native home). Something bigger, than the "updates" being communicated to us, must be happening behind Google's doors.

in percentage

50% of sites no rank from top of google
25% not changed
