Too many high authority backlinks - Will it make a problem

If I were to create backlinks from only high value sites (like nothing below 40 DA and half of them are 50+, 60 etc ) for say a year with 20-30 referring domains per month would it raise a red flag to google?

I'm pretty sure it's not something they penalise and register as unnatural but still wanted to check if this may be the case.

Also, do not mistake "high value" with high DA, especially with the DA metric as it's easily manipulated and you can get from 0 DA to 50+ DA in hours. High value sites are sites that have 1000s of keywords ranking in google, get 1000s of visitors per week / month from google alone, and also have a fair amount of quality RDs in their backlink profile.

And it's possible for such sites to "only" have a DA of 20 or 30 and they'd still be more valuable than sites with DA 60 that got their DA inflated through google redirects. So, don't make this important confusion!

But if you do find high value sites that can give you quality links then 20-30 links a month should be enough to rank anything, especially in non-competitive niches (are you still referring to your greek dentistry site here?)

No I was successful with that. The campaign ended a long time ago. I'm setting up a new project rn and am trying to create a scheme for it.

The domains are all quite clean, I manually audit their backlink profiles and traffic data from various sources to ensure I'll be getting what I need. Thanks for the reply I'll start building them.

Btw by saying google redirect do you mean just 301'ing some loosely related website? Because from what I recall 301'ing from a strongly related website does increase your rankings (although yes, it's not going to give you the entire ranking power of the 301'd page)

Well, if your backlinks will come from the page that is causing this domain to be +40 DA, I can assure you, you won't need 20 backlinks of those for 95% of keywords out there. Those are crazy powerful links, and unless you are competing with amazon for iphone 14, you would only need a handful of those to rank.

However, I hope these are actual site who are worthy of +50 DA and not some press releases or orphan pages guest posts. As for google, 20 backlinks are nothing.

By the way this implies that the best pages to pull links from from PBN's don't have to be homepages, right? I guess if most traffic comes from a product category and they have the most backlinks and traffic on that page it's basically the same thing as a homepage for most sites anyway

P.S. High DA/DR does not mean the site is really good so far. So keep on analysing them

Though this brings to mind something I had thought of earlier last month. Since these things are being newly patched, would something like an indexed xss backlink work? Assuming you don't know xss, it's a webapp vulnerability where an input is procesed in a way that a user is able to craft payloads (usually uri's) for domains to place javascript code on their html's, usually due to insufficient input sanitisation.

Say website tazarbm.com had xss on the contact page on a url parameter. I could craft a url like tazarbm.com/contact/?s=<scrlpt>[ JS CODE HERE ]</scrlpt>. And execute code to steal credentials etc. You see where I'm getting at?

If I were to index tazarbm.com/contact/?s=<a href="https:// metalfingersdoom.com">anchor text</a>, I would be getting a free backlink from your site w/o your permission. I see lots of sites reflecting your input as unsanitised html so it certainly has feasibility.

Has a wave of seo spam like this ever been executed and patched to your knowledge? Obviously very black hat but it seems to me this should work since I see orphaned redirect page spams all the time and they still work until the website spammed has been spammed to oblivion. It works or not on a domain basis, nothing patched about the vulnerability itself.

Coding in general is alien language to me, and black hat techniques like this are beyond my comprehension, although you did explain well enough for me to understand. if it works, it's definitely worth trying until it gets patched. Google is the wild west nowadays anyway, I've even seen someone copy-pasting an authority site, ad literam, and then DMCA-ing the original and google actually taking the original down and ranking the fraud at #1

My friend Kyle Roof proved this by ranking number 1 Lorem Ipsum for a Rhinoplasty site. He has done this at least 3 more times since, to show it can be done.

Look at some of the garbage sites out there, spun content etc.

We were in Milan a couple of years ago with Kyle and he did a fresh site and replicated it again. Someone reported the site as it got taken down and de indexed by Google. Google don't like him lol.
