Suggested Videos vs Browse Features. Which is Better?

Youtube newbie here. Recently two of videos started gaining traction.

Video A started gaining traction from browse features, then a couple days later it switched to almost all suggested videos.

Video B started gaining suggested video traction after Video A started suggested video traction as well.

I was browsing the forum and I saw that you almost always want to get into broswse feauture, so I was wondering between suggested videos and browse features, which one is better?

@zhi901 I have had a sort of mixed experience with suggested videos and browse features. I have multiple channels with over 3.7 M subscribers collectively. I have many videos with millions of views.

After reading your thread I went to check the top most videos stats and noticed that some of the highest viewed videos have got most views from suggested videos while some have got highest views from browse features. There are many videos who got almost similar share from both.

So it is difficult for me to give you a clear answer on this. But I can say that these two together contribute the maximum views of any video so they both are the best.

(Practically you have a very little control over from where the views are coming in You Tube, so I don't think you should worry much about it. If you want your video to some in suggestions of other popular videos, then then best way is to copy their title, thumb, tags and keywords and pray to get noticed by You Tube algo. There is nothing much you can do beyond this. )

Can you tell if there is a difference in the types of videos getting views from the two locations? Like entertainment get views from Suggested, tech get views from Browse...

In my case all the videos belong to the same genre - design. So it is quite difficult to tell if it was the types of videos getting views from browse feature or suggested. In my other channel that is on DIY this thing is the same. So in my opinion there isn't any clear distinguishing factor for the type of videos.

You can use the analytics feature to find out more about the more suitable option. You can even find out where your audience is from and their age group and all of the necessary information you need to find out which works best for you. I hope this helps.
