Can the authorities "hijack" my domain

I'm thinking of making pirated websites and movies but I'm having a question, which prevents the authorities from simply forcing the icann to "stop" the domain I'm using? and would there be any way to register a domain without knowing who you're from?

I tried to find something about it on some existing thread but didn't find

If you are doing something illegal, yepp. But if you are not doing anything illegal, nope. You could take them to the court I guess, if you believe you are not doing anything illegal.

edit: ps, for what you are doing (didn’t notice earlier), absolutely.. you could lose your domain and also be in legal mess.

So I think it's good to stay anonymous when buying a domain and a hosting, in my parents every year some sites are closed and their owners arrested

Yepp. I mean, I would say don’t even do it, but I understand that lots of people would do it anyway. If you absolutely have to, take all measures to be anonymous.

ICANN handles compliance & legal issues through its Contractual Compliance team and their scope also includes the suspension or cancellation of domain name registration, if needed. ICANN's Contractual Compliance team is also obligated to respond to applicale law enforcement authorities.

Any "authority" can takedown your website. The only way to be online is being anonymous and take privacy seriously.

1. Offshore Hosting always.
2. VPN + TOR
3. Anonymous payment (Monero the best, but bitcoin, litecoin, zcash or paysafecard)
4. Encrypted disk or VM.

Don't be like kids and newbies with facebook and twitter or instagram pages with pirated content loool spreading over the social media.

Sure, for domains njal.la or securednet.su just use a good ccTLD or TLD .org.

Yes, they can hijack, control, and take over your domain, but probably not going to do it unless you're a big fish.

Checkout what happened with Z Library which was hosting pirated books.

I don't think they can hijack it, but they can freeze it and null-route it.

Same with servers. They can't hijack it but will secure it by terminating access to the server until their investigation is complete.
