Google won't track sales that I could see.

Yes, Google tracks sales. In Analytics itself there is a section called ''sales performance'' under ''conversions''. I suppose this idea is a really good one, you could manipulate these numbers and try to fool Google.



On my most successful ecommerce sites I invested zero effort in SEO and still ranked very well for some keywords...it really is something to be tested.

if you see strange text abc123 mean they are using traffic user, they bring people to google and find text to help rank then have more people come, google out rank them to top
