Hey Are you guys having issues with appsumo ? For the past few weeks I had around 400 clicks and no conversion Semi - cold approach I knew they could use a product, and I contacted the leads and told them about the lifetime offer.

So far no conversions

I did a test the other day. I signed up for a new account on appsumo using my affiliate link, using a 4g proxy, different vps. The click tracked in impact platform.

After adding the product to card, a big popup appeared for 10% discount code, for new users. I went ahead and filled my email. 5 mins later i received the code. I went ahead and checked out ( so clean vps, maxe just for this. Product was in cart,i just added the discount code) Didnt searched and didnt clicked on any other link) But adding that coupon didnt add the sale into my affiliate account.

Seems like a crappy approach for them to overwrite the cookies using such big intent cta popup...

Have you experienced this ? Is there a workaround for it, or I should stop bothering with appsumo affiliate program and switch to something else. If so, do you have any fecommendations ?

I just noticed dealify has a similar pop-up but I didn't test to see if they are doing the same thing.

They all do it. Since the advent of ai content they have double down on shaving. Because they know that it's low effort content and anyone can blog now. So bloggers would not make much noise about it.

I dont promote anything that has a pop up on the page i direct them to, for exactly that reason.

Meh, it seemed like a very good affiliate program :/

Does somebody have any other programme to recommend?

Did some more tests and I think I didn't get those commisions due to addblocker chrome extension
I'll try again with some new accs

Well in my opinion its clear that its a shaving but its your own choice .In my opinion the best choice its to create your own product and sell it

Yes, they do it, which is why I always tried to lookup the affiliates page on the vendors' site directly and join the affiliate program. In most cases, the sellers offer the same discount on their official websites as well. So, no need to promote it through AppSumo.

They all shave
Without shaving technique, that type of business is not so profitable

Ever used hastraffic for email traffic they shave and then suspend the account when it about to pay the money. Almost all does this.

Some does in terms of commissions and some does in terms of eating the leads.

update after a few months
appsumo's affiliate system is a scam, don't bother with it

They were advertising it everywhere as up to 50$ on new customer's purchase + 5% on other purchases.

When I asked them a few months later why i'm not getting commisions even if I get many sales, this is what they said.
"
We have had commission structure changes within the last year, which is why our standard contract does not include 5% returning commission.

Currently, in order to receive the 5% commission we require at least a 5% new customer rate. You can see how many new customers you've brought in by using your "Advanced Action Listing" report and adding Customer status to the show dropdown. "

Which is bullshit since they overwrite cookies on new buyers accounts. Tested that myself on 2 fresh and clean accounts (on a new and fresh vps, clean ip). The orders placed from those accounts are appearing but those accounts don't appear directly referred by me. )
Some random ppl signed up for new accounts as well and I didn't get the full amount of their purchase. and in the end I got 0 instead of the 5%.
Also I kept referring some tools to some friends on mine that had order appsumo accounts. 0 for those as well.

5k $ purchases 0 commision

so stay away
