Be cruel, I don't care ;)

Tried to sell this Blog:

Code:
toothsurgery.info
Which didn't convert (asked $30 BIN on DP). Even has all unique content on it!

Think its the theme? Would a more custom theme work better or do people just not care? Or is it the fact that it isn't an AutoBlog, and people are lazy?

BTW: this is the first time I ever tried to sell a website, so I'm not too sure what people look for in newer sites.

Site is quite nice actually. It will be because you are using a .info domain - that's why I ALWAYS buy .com's, may cost $10 more at the start but resale value is a LOT higher compered to what I would have saved on a .info.

Your sales copy might not have been great either - send me the link if you like and I'll give you some tips

yes as said above people really don't like the '.info' domains and there are many other factors like the traffic that the site gets, links, page rank, alexa rating.

Well it was an experimental type of thing so I figured hey, just buy the .info. Wasn't even too familiar with WordPress when I started it.

I also didn't put much time into the "sales thread". I've found on DP I can sell articles better when I write kind of a down to earth type thread. Maybe it isn't the same with sites?

Code:
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1706024

Maybe it's the first sentence that turned people away :suspiciou. I was trying to go for "original content" as DP is usually in love with it, but it didn't work.

Sales thread is too negative - almost sounds as if you don't want to sell it. You want people to think they are getting a great deal and not picking up one of your failed projects.

I would try make the thread a bit clearer with bullet point, titles and clear pricing:

Start bid $1
Increment $3
BIN $30

NO RESERVE

or something like that

You're not going to get good money for it from DP...

Try flippa if you can afford it, if not PM me and I'll buy it.
