How do you follow up clients without looking desperate?

Here we go again ......... Yet another seller who seems to be confused.
When you say "client" >>> It means that person has ALREADY purchased from you, has ALREADY PAID you.
In that case WHY THE HELL would you NOT follow-up with a CLIENT ?
Infact a CLIENT will be quite happy that you are following-up.
Infact a client will be quite pleased if the seller is following-up, client does not feel that the seller is desperate incase the seller follows-up. The client will feel happy that the seller values the client and happy that the seller is updating the client through follow-up(s).
I am so surprised at how sellers are so confused in understanding things or in expressing themselves.
Is OP referring to a POTENTIAL client ? In that case, such a confused seller would even goof up his thoughts & expressions while communicating with both a POTENTIAL client and a CLIENT.
Do you communicate with such confusion in your mind ? In that case you would piss off both potential clients and clients.

You just simply ask if they're still interested or have any further questions, there's no issue of "looking desparate" as long as you are professional with what you say, and only send a single message.

A client is one who has already paid a seller and purchased from the seller. Asking a client if they are still interested would make it appear to the client that the seller is attempting to scam the client.
Imagine if you pay me US$250 for service XYZ and I confirm that you have paid me. After a while, I ask you "are you still interested ?".
You would think "What the fuck is going on ? Is this seller mad or trying to scam me ?"
NOTE : Here OP is talking about a client and NOT about a potential client.

To me it seemed as if he was talking about a potential client, but if that's the case then he needs to write a follow up specific to his product and ask about their experience and how he can make it better instead.

If you pay for something, then you are a client. And clients really appreciate sellers who follow-up. Following-up with a client in no way makes a seller look desperate.
As a seller please do go ahead and follow-up with your clients, without any hesitation whatsoever. Clients feel secured when a seller follows-up. It is a positive experience for a client, when a seller follows-up.
Such a question must not even arise in the minds of sellers. Or is this just yet another "weekend" type of lounge thread ?

That's exactly why it seems as if he was talking about potentials, if it was actual clients it would just be after sales service which doesn't look desparate, as you said.

I understand this is a lounge thread, but sales and marketing nonethless must not be taken so lightly please. It is bread and butter for most of us. Infact sales & marketing is critical to very business.

You are too late. I am a VIP, VVIP etc in many places .... All that does not bother or affect me in any way at all whatsoever. I just focus on making money and staying healthy.
