Filling taxes for Uk ltd - Help please

I need an urgent advice please.

I have a uk company and I need to file taxes. I contacted some sellers on Fiverr.

They asked me for my Company House Login Details and HMRC log details as well as photo id for the director.

Is this normal with filling taxes to give all these personal informations to them?

I am afraid to give them my credentials.

I don't know about the UK part, as maybe @MisterF could explain the process, but I would seek a professional accountant. I would not give out my details to some random person on fiverr but that is just my preference.

I think all the info you need to file taxes is available on google, no need for shady fiverr gigs.

This seems really shady and if you are non-resident, why would you open ltd. You should have opened llp and you wouldn't need to file anything ^_^

This is one of the most insane things I have seen on the Internet, and I've seen a LOT.

I don't know what makes this so unbelievable..

You have a UK company and you *need* to file taxes. This implies you've actually make some profit. You are capable of incorporating, but for taxes you go to Fiverr and potentially want to send over your photo ID, companies house/hmrc details? Do you know what someone can do with your photo ID and company documents?

You're handing them the keys to your company. They can just go and open a bank account and engage in ANYTHING they want and you'll be liable.

Why on earth would you even consider Fiverr for this? Get an accountant. It's not going to cost you more than $300-$400 to get your accounts done. If you can't afford that, then just file a DS02 and dissolve your company.

This is all you need. Annual company accounts and corp tax return (ct600). The only other thing for a UK company is a the confirmation statement with companies house, but usually that service comes with your incorporation package and it would have been before your tax accounts are due.

I assume you've made under £1k. So if you want to keep your company sign up there and pay £90 and you're golden.

If you've done nothing with your company, and it's simply dormant, then go for the "dormant accounts" - £50 option. This means no trading has been done.

Yeah it's usually easier to use an accountant to do the tax forms etc, but never some random stranger off the internet.
Handing over that type of information, leaves you wide open to being scammed or involved in a scam where you find you now are the named director of 10 shady / illegal companies.

In no country where taxes are paid in modern societies, will an accountant ask you for your credentials 1st. A real financial services provider will always speak you 1st, it’s like a doctor prescribing meds without understanding your symptoms

but you can send them off yourself via mail, there’s a service provider I’ve been using for years in every country I do business in, it’s cheaper and more efficient
