I'm considering using a backlink service that is quote popular on here, to link to an Amazon product page, to help with Amazon rankings. Has anyone done this, and has it worked?

No, it wouldn't help you to rank your product on the amazon search engine. Because Amazon has a different algorithm.

Go for influencer marketing if you want to bring external traffic to your product.

Backlinks meant for driving traffic might just do that.

Backlinks meant to improve your Amazon ranking probably won't work as it is doubtful that Amazon considers external links in the Amazon algorithm.

Yes, i mean backlinks to generate keyword-specific external traffic to an Amazon product page. Would this improve ranking solely on the basis of increased traffic, or would it also depend on conversion rate?

It depends on your niche and target audience. I typically deal with influencers off of Instagram. For a younger audience, Tiktok. Older audience, Facebook. Professional audience, Linkedin.
