Has anyone tried Cloudflare for domain registration?

I recently found out that Cloudflare now offers domain registration services at a very cheap rate.

Has anyone here tried Cloudflare for domain registration? I’m looking to transfer some of my domains to Cloudflare - their prices are real tempting when compared to namecheap which I currently use.

It seems Cloudflare is not popular for domains anyways. I'll appreciate sharing your experience if you have used Cloudflare in the past for domain registration.

Yepp I have a couple of domains in cf right now. I transferred them though (not new registration). Works as expected, no complaints.

Not much. Namecheap is still better in terms of support

yepp this is why I love cf domains. No hidden renewal fees. NC is trying to charge me 14.99 from the last 7 days and my cc declines it, thankfully (i will be transferring that to cf as well lol). For cf, it is supposed to be 8.99 or 9.99 (forgot the amount) even for renewal. Love it.

I dunno why you would need support anyway. Just point the domain to some server, or cf pages and you are all set.

Thanks mate. I will be moving all my domains to Cloudflare then, namecheap current renewal fees are ridiculous.

CF domain privacy isn’t all that private. It shows the state/province of the domain owner.

It is an issue if you have multiple domains in the same niche. At least, it’s an issue to me.

Yes. Most of your details are private. But unlike Namecheap, the state/province is not private.

Did they hmmm? What price do you get right now? Should be 8.xx as it was before. CF actually takes zero commission and uses verisign (afaik, don’t quote me on this) as the processor for the registration. I would really be surprised if this was true. Prove it please.

There is a link within the cf dashboard when registering domains. The price changes are minimal - like 60 cents more for a .com

Cloudflare still has zero commission.
