Facebook FBML - WOW

Hey guys. So i've got a fan page on facebook - yesterday night it had 13,000 members, and now its got 22,000 members. So yeah, its grown 9k over night and day.

But tonight when i checked my FBML page, instead of their being a "become a fan" button, it was some dirty images. I had no idea what had happened so i assumed they fan page had been hacked. The default tab is the FBML one, so all fans will have seen it.

But this big image (split into 5 or so) had replaced the "become a fan" button. So i checked the image url in the code and it was the same. But when i visited the url i found this was the dirty image - so i quickly replaced.

I've no idea how long it was up there, but if it was from last nice or since i checked, i know 2 things:

1. I've lost alot of traffic = loss of money
2. Alot of people may have reported it, and kids will have been put off.


All is fixed now!

Has anyone else using the same script as me (i bought it from here so it will have the same url) noticed the same?

Thats the lesson you learn always upload your own copy of images somewhere, to avoid it being tampered with!!

Yeah, always upload to your private hosting or some premium hosting site like photobucket.

It had an offer to do with facebook, so lost me fans and money

Hahhaha they did it to me too except it was the step1, step2, step3 images and so forth it affected like 6 or 7 fan pages. Had people complaining and such before I could fix, thankfully changed before Facebook saw it. It was annoying but overall I thought it was more funny then anything, I was curious why I had no clicks on my stuff today.

well i was the code seller and what happened was my partner got upset and stole my godaddy account and changed step1.png img to some porn so he could get my page banned so the people who didn't hosted that image themselves got the porn img in there instead of step1.png img

i heard about it yesterday bcuz i got a few complains so i checked and found that!

Yeah you sold me the code, but i wasn't going to blame you because i thought it was a website you used to get the image

Everythings sorted now anyway
