Haven't used it in years. How many proxies do I need and what are the best proxies to use? I'm trying to find some local expired domains linked from local authority sites.

Using the Expired Domain Finder plugin? You won't really need many proxies at all for that sort of usage, but you will need them to be stable. A small set (10-30) of datacenter proxies from any of the sellers in the marketplace would be fine.

For such a goal I don't think that you need a lot of proxies, you can purchase about 20 Ipv4 ones and check them in operation, if you need more you can simply purchase and add a bit more

for scrapping from google, every proxy needs 120 seconds of idle.
so, if you have 120 proxies, you can do 1 thread every second.
if you have 1200 proxies, you can do 10 threads every second
and so on

Scrapebox recommended MPP proxies. Worked well for me. I think Scrapebox provides some discount codes.
