When I use Proxifier and I go to google, type "my ip", the google results page shows my real IP. If I go to whatismyipaddress.com it shows the proxy, but if I click Proxy Checker tool (whatismyipaddress.com/proxy-check) then it shows my real IP again. All other sites check ip sites show the proxy.

On Edge browser, Bing does show the proxy IP on the first results page but if I go to whatismyipaddress.com/proxy-check then it leaks. So same thing as above but Google is smarter on the results page.

If I setup the proxy in Windows -> Network -> Proxy then all of the above shows the proxy so there's no leak.

Browsers are set to delete everything on exit.
Webrtc is blocked on browsers.
I've tried with 6 different proxies and it is all the same issue as above.
I tried with HTTPS and SOCKS5 - same issue.

So the only difference is between using Proxifier (leak) and Windows (no leak). It points to a Proxifier issue/settings. I have pretty default settings. I just put the proxy, port, select https/socks5, and login/password.

Hi, I'm extremely sorry to hear about this. The best way I check whether the proxy IP is leaking or not is by using CMD. It's the most vintage method for testing whether the IP is leaking or not. If the CMD results show you the IP of the proxy rather than your original proxy, you're all good. Otherwise, your IP is leaking.
In your case, what I can assume is your IP is really leaking. I believe you'll be shown your original IP when tested with CMD.
You should be able to browse the internet without third-parties knowing your location. The right proxy will hide or shield your IP address. IP address leaks are easy to identify only by using simply the CMD

I'm experiencing the exact same issue,
does anyone have found a workaround or a solution?

i was considering using another proxy manager but i have found none that works as proxifier

@uuhoever

here are the steps to solve it:

- enable "Resolve hostnames through proxy" at Profile -> Name_Resolution menu of Proxifier
