Monetising Tiktok viral traffic

Hey BHW,

I pretty much know the go with tiktok and it’s algorithm and can get multiple videos on brand new accounts in the 10,50,100k view range with my best video being a 2 day old account, 7th video reaching 1.5m views… that was for a phone screen spray product that I had a dropshipping store related to it but that didn’t do good (over 1100 reached checkout only 12 converted sales). I figured out why my conversion rate was so poor and have learnt from said mistake… but

My question to you guys is how can I convert this traffic to $$ - I’m still very young and don’t need the $xxx a day and I am not dependent on a method working yesterday. I have time and I have the ‘skills’ to go viral on tiktok. Much appreciated if anyone could list some methods I can then spend a couple hours researching each method to see which one would work best..
I have a full time job and no expenses so start up costs isn’t an issue

maybe it’s payment method problem?
maybe shipping cost?

i would go with ecommerce (for example dropshipping) or affiliate marketing.

but in case of affiliate marketing, be careful. Depending on product, sometimes you need to hide the link somehow.

just don’t advertise any shady business and you’ll be good.

Yeah what happened with those low CRs was i messed up my shipping zones.. aka i was only shipping to one country - missed out on a lot of money but also learned to double check everything before and do some test buys using different payment methods..
affiliate marketing could be good - I think what makes my content go viral is the production i’m pretty good with using tiktok editing and transitioning clips and stuff like that

one ’trick’ that always works for me to get at least some engagement is have a text to speech conversation or even in the caption of the video something like ‘sending free *Product* if you get 0 likes on your comment!’

What this does is gets people commenting on the video and also liking other people’s comments because they don’t want them to win.. and coz there’s so many people commenting and scrolling through other peoples comments, liking them (while your video is playing in the background) tiktok sees this and says wow this video must be good and continues pushing it..

I guess to summarise you want to distract the viewers with something in the comments so that your video continues to play in the background.
Some examples:
‘Comment 3 times without someone breaking your chain’
‘First x people to reply to the pinned comment’
‘Can we balance the likes and comments on the video?’

TikTok is suitable for consuming content but not so good for selling.
Compare to IG/FB, Twitter, and or Youtube.

My advice will be to try to replicate your method with youtube shorts.
You will get better conversion from YT short if you succeed than TikTok.

I have not tried number 2 yet.. sounds promising will read into it

I would suggest you monetize this kind of traffic with affiliate marketing. It all depends on your niche and there are tons of affiliate offers available.
Just do some research and suitable product/service to promote. Eg. If you are in the movies niche, you promote Hulu and earn $10/lead

BTW, I would like to learn how you manage to viral on tiktok. May you please elaborate more on that?
