it's quite simple really

find people with over 4,000 facebook friends and then become there friend
Legitimatley no spam and with a peoper user profile. when they become your friend then when you comment on their status then all of their friend will see it... then all you do is scale it

10*4000=40,000 etc..
i know its not targeted but you can still send people to a fan page or group for something silly like "Do you push the door when it says pull" then when they join then you can spam them or whatever

1.the problem is how do you find users 4,000 + friends quickly?
2. is this a silly Strategy?

i'm not sure what you mean by "legitimately" become their friend but if you want friends fast, just search for groups on facebook like mafia groups and groups related to sex. then go to their wall and post a message like "i looove talking about sex, add me! ;p" and then add a pic or two of a hot girl. you will get many "friends" this way almost immediately if you post to quite a few groups.

you will be well on your way to 4000 at that point, at which point you can employ the method you were talking about in your post i suppose.
