How many of you have started to develop TV campaigns on AdWords for your products or clients? I've started to have some pretty serious success for some of my clients. The cost is not as prohibitive as some might think if you play your cards right.

How many people are interested in this kind of advertising as opposed to traditional PPC?

I'm surprised more people aren't interested. Here's a screenshot from one of my newer projects. The amount of impressions can be ignored, it's the Ad plays and the price that people might appreciate it:

Just for an idea on conversions, this specific company has increased revenue in the last few weeks we've been running the ads by ~$45k.

There was also the cost of getting the commercial written, filmed, scored, edited, etc, but all in all, the client is very happy with ROI. I imagine as more competition flees conventional PPC for seemingly greener pastures, the cost will rise, so this might be a good time to act.

definitely interested. What was the cost for the commercial itself. I had a company offer to do a 60 second for $20K and they seemed legit, but at the time I was too involved to look into it and see what standard pricing was for something like that.

We went with a local low budget crew because most of what needed to be done was just simple editing. The commercial cost ~$10k and is about 35 seconds long. When everything was done and paid for we were left with a pretty good project. Some of that money went into paying licensing fees on music, which I think we'd just do ourselves in the future, but obviously the commercial has paid for itself already.

Check your PMs. I can't send out the exact commercial, because it's still running live, but I've uploaded a preliminary draft copy of a commercial from a different client to YouTube. It was created by the same company and cost roughly the same amount.
